While original horror films like Us are absolutely killing it right now, those who like the classics will also be treated later this summer. A Child's Play remake starring Aubrey Plaza is on the way and there will be an all-new Chucky terrorizing some poor innocent family. While Brad Dourif provided the voice of Chucky in the original franchise, someone else will be handling the remake and his voice certainly carries a lot of force. Mark Hamill will voice Chucky, and he announced it in an awesome way on social media.

You may know Mark Hamill best from his role as Luke Skywalker in some space movie called Star Wars, but he's also a prominent voice actor. Many fans consider him to be the best version of the Joker, having voiced the character in Batman: The Animated Series and several other Batman projects. He's also voiced a number of other cartoons, which include Regular Show, Adventure Time, and Metalocalypse.

Given his versatile voice work, it's not that much of a surprise to find him turning his sights to horror. After all, if you had a doll with Luke Skywalker's voice say he wanted to be your best friend, you'd trust that doll no matter how sketchy he was.

In a special announcement for WonderCon 2019, Mark Hamill announced on Twitter that he would be the new voice of Chucky for the Child's Play remake. Hamill teased that "wicked fun" was about to begin and accompanied the post with a video that had a pitch perfect ending of Hamill giving a creepy smile. It was a great way to announce his casting and I'm sure that it went down really well at WonderCon.

Written by Tyler Burton Smith and directed by Lars Klevberg, the Child's Play remake stars Aubrey Plaza as a single mother who gives her son a Buddi doll, unaware of its evil nature. Lots of stabbing and creepy doll shenanigans are sure to follow.

It's unclear if there will be any sort of live-action work for Mark Hamill, seeing as how in the original films Chucky was a serial killer who moved his soul into a doll through voodoo. However, the remake has hinted that Chucky might just be a wayward A.I., which is a little less fun, but that doesn't mean that the film won't still be good and scary.

If you do want to see Mark Hamill in live-action then you can check him out in Historys Knightfall, the Knights Templar series now in its second season. You can also see him play a different sort of knight in Star Wars: Episode IX, in which he will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker. That film arrives in theaters later this year on December 20.

It's been clear for a long time that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be a big deal at the box office. Not only does the upcoming Marvel movie bring together a slew of MCU heroes, but it also happens to be the start of a duo of culmination movies that are going to take the MCU in a totally different direction. Interest in the film is high, so high that there have been talks the movie could compete with Star Wars: The Force Awakens behemoth box office during opening weekend. In addition, the movie has already beaten recent winner Black Panther when it came to the first 24 hours of ticket pre-sales. Now, about a month later, the movie shows no signs of stopping, and Fandago reports it has already sold out at over 1,000 screenings in the U.S.

Big movies often sell out in theaters on opening weekend, but having over 1,000 showings sell out a week before release is a giant feat. Big movies in the States typically open on more than 3,000 screens, and Infinity War is a big movie among big movies. It's anticipated to open in 4,200 theaters across the country; still, selling out 1,000 screenings of the movie a week ahead of release is incredible. According to CNN, theaters are even adding showtimes to accommodate audiences, and says that one theater in New York has even added a 3:05 a.m. screening of the latest Marvel film. So, if you are a night owl, there's will be plenty of ways to see Infinity War in the city that never sleeps.

As noted previously, Avengers: Infinity War isn't even out of the gate yet, and it has already been breaking ticket sales records. In addition, early estimates related to the movie said it could make up to $200 million on opening weekend, but more recent estimates have indicated the latest Marvel flick could make between $235 and $255 opening weekend. If the latter estimates hold true, Avengers: Infinity War could top that of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which made a whopping 247.97 million during opening weekend. Either way, it's going to be a big April for movie theaters, as the previous April record holder when it comes to opening weekends was Furious 7, which made $147 million during opening weekend.

It's clear that Infinity War is going to make a lot of money this weekend. A thousand sold out screenings in advance of release is clearly a big number and people have been excited about the movie on social media and even on our site for several weeks. The only question left to be answered is: How much of a hit Avengers: Infinity War will be? Luckily, we'll find out how the weekend's box office did this Sunday, and we'll find out how the movie did on preview night in just a few short hours.

The Best Part Of Filming Shazam, According To Zachary Levi

The DCEU has thus far introduced audiences to heroes with a reasonable amount of mainstream appeal. Justice League characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash are all mainstays, and even someone like Cyborg has experienced a boom in popularity since The New 52. However, the DCEU is about to bring Zachary Levi's Shazam (previously known as Captain Marvel), a relatively more obscure hero, into the fold with David F. Sandberg's Shazam solo movie, and it sounds like there's a lot of fun to be had in the upcoming origin story. In fact, when asked by fans what his favorite aspect of filming the movie has been, Levi took to social media and responded, noting,

That's a classic choice, right? Flight is one of the most instantly iconic superhero abilities in the canon of superpowers, and it looks like Shazam! is going to fully embrace that concept by letting Billy Batson soar through the sky.

Of course, as many die-hard DC fans already know, the ability to fly is one of many skills that Shazam has at his disposal. The magic-based hero has a wide variety of abilities that call back to the mythological figures who spell out his name ("Shazam" is actually an acronym), and he is one of the most powerful DC heroes in existence. He can even stand toe-to-toe with Superman, who has an inherent weakness to magic. Zachary Levi's tweet suggests that he's most excited to fly in the movie, but there are numerous other powers that we can't wait to see when the film finally debuts.

With any luck, the first scene of Billy Batson flying in Shazam! will be as goofy and awe-inspiring as other depictions of the character. You can check out an example of such a sequence below.

With that said, despite how excited we are to see Zachary Levi put his Shazam! powers on full display, we still need to actually get a good look at him in the costume before anything else. There have been multiple leaks showing the Shazam costume behind the scenes during production, but we haven't seen an official image of the hero with effects, proper lighting or a staged look yet. Levi has suggested that the folks at Warner Bros. and DC will hopefully have something to show us soon, but for now we continue waiting for that picture to debut.

Audiences all over the world will be able to see Zachary Levi take flight as Shazam when David F. Sandberg's DCEU outing of the same name debuts on April 5, 2019. However, you will still be able to get your DC fix this year as well, as James Wan's Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21!
